After a successful journey of 8 years, Punjab Grill, a well-known North Indian fine dining restaurant, was interested in creating a new brand that spoke to a new generation of customers. The new brand needed to dispel common notions about the Indian dining experience. This was to be a first-of-it's-kind Indian eatery adding a global twist to Indian recipes. We came up with the name 'Tappa', which means 'bounce' in Hindi and is also a well known style of folk singing in Punjabi.
